E' leggermente fuori dal centro sulla strada che porta a Mai rin ma bastano un paio di minuti di motorino o di auto per arrivare in centro. Il residence e' carino (soprattutto le aree collettive), e' pulito ed ha un ottimo rapporto qualita' / prezzo: una stanza (con piccolo salottino) per un mese viene 12.000 baht (circa 250 euro), c'e' la connesione wirless nelle stanze che funziona bene, un ristornatino che non e' niente di speciale ma nel quale mangi con 2 euro e il personale e' molto gentile e pronto a risolvere qualunque problema...in conclusione ottimo! As a frequent traveler to this magnificent city who have stayed in many, many hotels of different classes, I'd like to recommend Viangbua Mansion. The exterior of the hotel is nothing to be excited about. It's not a 5-star establishment with pool villas and other facilities available in large hotels. However, for an FIT rate of less than $25 a night, you get a spacious and spotless air-conditioned room with additional living room space, plus breakfast in a smart and cosy restaurant. There's no bath, but the shower area is great--sparkling clean and comes with a real shower head, not one of those plastic ones you find in cheap hotels. For those who need to be connected to the internet, wireless access is also available at a very reasonable rate. What's worth mentioning is the level of service at Viangbua. Staff are extremely friendly and courteous, both at the reception desk and at the restaurant. The hotel manager also kindly offered his help in configurating my notebook when I had problems accessing the internet. The location is also very convenient. Althought it's not on the night bazaare "Strip", a very short stroll takes you to a colorful local food and fruit market and a western style supermarket. When in Chiangmai, if you don't hire a bike or a car, you can easily hail one of those red minibuses, which can take you anywhere for a small fare. So, nothing is difficult. All in all, this is not Rachamankha, but for the price you pay, nothing beats Viangbua Mansion.

Since it was a small serviced apartment, staff have more time for us to help out with any needs. They seem to have a higher standards of service, and they always served us with smiles that made me feel very comfortable. Everything about the hotel was extremely good, the rooms, maid service, reception and the staff in general could not be faulted. Its position is within a lovely Thai area of Chiang Mai all services, i.e. laundry, barbers (great shave), fresh food market, restaurants are all on your doorstep.

Manhole, South Africa  Jun 4, 2007 Viangbua sitsuated in a quite street our of the OLD town is a really good budget option in Chiang mai. professional, very clean and extremely well run. I spent 5 days here exploring the prvince and the city. They arranged tours for me to see the hilltribes and everything was done with ease, professionality and the awesome Thai Charm.  Rooms are spacious, very clean and quite! Good breakfast! Would go back.

Really excellent value for longer stay guest. We stayed in a small room ( most of them are small) but perfectly adequate with plenty of storage. The hotel is secure and well run - keycards, in room safes, security guards etc. Staff great and friendly - organised cars, gave sound advice and kept tabs on our dental appointments! The restaurant across the road is good value and caters to the mostly older clientel of Viangbua well - classical music, flexible menu etc. Would stay again.
